How to upload your character sheet and more.

Click the 'Add new entry' link in the upper right hand corner of the page.

Entry Name: (the name of your character)
Example:  Randallo Talborment

Entry Version: (character level)
Example: Level 3

Short description: (brief description of your character)
This is what will appear on the Character section of the site along side other character entries.  This text is limited to 1000 characters.  If you upload a character image at the bottom of the page, you can add it to the description by inserting '$IMAGE#-RIGHT$' before your text.

Entry full text: (full character description/backstory/origin)
This description is what will appear when people select on your character entry.  This area has unlimited text.  If you upload a character image at the bottom of the page, you can add it to the description by inserting '$IMAGE#-RIGHT$' before your text.

Images: (upload your character image here)
Click the 'Choose File' button.  Find the file on your computer and select it, then click the  'Open' button.  You will now notice the name of the image file next to the 'Choose File' button and the shortcut '$IMAGE#$' that you can use to add the image into your descriptions.

File-archive: (upload your character sheet here)
Click the 'Choose File' button.  Find the file on your computer and select it (.pdf prefered), then click the  'Open' button.  You will now notice the name of the file next to the 'Choose File' button.  The file will appear as a link at the top of the page when people select your character entry.

Tags: (short descriptors)
Example:  Female, Woman, Half-Elf, Sorcerer, Draconic

Select the 'Characters' link from the main site menu.

Find your character entry and look to the far right across from your character name.

Select the blue pencil icon to edit your entry.

Entry Version: (enter your updated character level)

File-archive: (upload your updated character sheet here)
Click the 'Choose File' button.  Find the updated file on your computer and select it, then click the 'Open' button.  You will now notice the name of the file next to the 'Choose File' button.  You will see the name of the old character sheet below this.  Click the box next to Remove so it will be replaced with the updated sheet.  It might be a good idea to rename your updated character sheet with the level so as to not confuse the two files.

You may also edit or update any of the other fields in this section.

To make sure your updated file was attached to the entry, go back to the Characters section and find your entry.  Once selecting it you should see the updpated character level next to your characters name and the updated sheet can be accessed from the 'Download from this server' link.

We're a diverse group of laid back players that just like to have fun. We're all adults, but have different levels of experience playing from those just starting out to some that have been playing off and on for years. No experience is required or necessary to join the fun.

We primarily play Pathfinder and/or Dungeons & Dragons. However we do like to try different games/systems on occasion and welcome suggestions.

We play every other Saturday in Durham at the local game store, Atomic Empire. We start at 10 AM and usually play until 4 PM.  The date of the next game will be listed in the upper left hand corner of the website.

No. If you have books for the game we are playing feel free to bring them along however the person running the game will have all the necessary materials for that game.

Everyone needs a set of dice for most of the games we play.  If you don't have any, Atomic Empire sells them.

Needing a miniature depends on the game we're playing. If the game does require a miniature and you don't have one you can use a proxy (a die for example), or buy one from the store, Atomic Empire.

The use of laptops, tablets or other electronic devices by players during the game is decided by the person running the game.

We take turns running the games. If you're relatively comfortable with a game system, we encourage you to take a turn running a game. None of us are experts and no one is expected to be perfect but it is more fun for everyone to have a chance to play a character than always having to be in charge of a game.

Let us know when you think you'd like to take a shot running things. You don't have to run a long campaign to start. You can just run a short adventure, especially if you've never run anything before.

While we all offer opinions about what we would like to play if you are running a game it is really up to you in terms of what you feel comfortable doing. We are always looking to try new games or new to us so feel free to break out something old or even something you have custom made. We are flexible.

If you run a game you will need to make sure you have all the materials to do so. This generally means the rules and source books. If don't want to make a huge investment some systems have most of the source information free online, such as Pathfinder, and some of our members own different game systems and may be willing to loan them to you.

If you're 18 or older and you’d like to play with us, email Michelle at  Let us know a little bit about yourself and what you're interested in.  If we don't have a current opening we'll add your name to out wait list and let you know when we have an opening for another player.

First, you will need to register.  If you register with a name other that what you'd like to be called, let Michelle know what to change it to.  It's easier on us all if you use the same name in person and on the website.  Once you have registered you'll be able to post messages and join in the discussions in the forum.

Once you've been invited to join the group, Michelle will change your group settings to allow you to make posts on the website itself.  You will use this to upload your character information, including character sheets (.pdf please), and any journals you write.  The person running the game will also post a game summary on the main page and any background information.

The expectation is, outside of the unexpected, that members of the group attend the posted scheduled play sessions and show up on time.  If anyone is unable to make a commitment to that schedule for any length of time, we ask that they step down and their name will be added to the wait list.

If you know ahead of time that you'll be arriving late, please let the group know by posting in the general discussion forum.  If it's a last minute occurrence, send Michelle an email or give her a call with expected arrival time.

If you are going to need to leave a session early and it is a planned occurrence please give the group as much notice as possible by posting in the general discussion forum. The end time of a game can be flexible depending on how early you need to leave. However the actual end time of the game will be determined by the game master.

Please let us know as soon as possible if you will be unable to make a game by posting in the general discussion form.  Please use this resource to communicate with the other players.

Always remember that the person running the game makes the rules for the game.  It's their game world and we'll play it their way.  Even if you've played the game before, make sure you run all of your character info and history past the person running the game because it’s their world this time around.  This includes what books/supplements can be used, what race/classes can be played, and how rules/guidelines will be interpreted.  If you have any questions/concerns about an upcoming game world setting/system address them with the person running the game as soon as possible.

Running a game takes more work than playing in it, so lets try to make their job easier in whatever way we can.
